An Ignoble Tale (Act 1.2)

"Alright, I'll grab my things then." Aserl said, walking off back into the town.

Audren adjusted his collar, looking around.

Violet looked down, sighing quietly.

Aserl came back a bit later with a brown satchel, and a primarily crimson dress with tan bits on the sides with red strings tied into bows, along with golden accents along the middle.

"I assume I've kept you waiting long enough, yeah? Shall we be off?" She said, a hand on the satchel's strap.

Violet looked up at Aserl. "Oh... hi..."

Asrel waved at Violet briefly.

Audren looked over at her and nodded.

She waved back to her.

"Oh, right. I got some money in case we pass through another town and need to buy something so we don't come empty handed like we did this time, since I doubt people in other towns will be just as generous as they were here."

She said, holding a gold coin in between her fingers.

Violet looked at the coin. "Whoa..."

"Hm, that'll come in handy." Audren said, turning towards the road.

Violet looked at the coin another moment before glancing down the road.

"So we'll be going before it gets dark, then?" Audren said, beginning to walk.

Aserl put the coin away, following him.

Violet followed after the two of them.

Audren looked up, seeing that the day was already over due to their hijinks in the town.

She glanced behind herself, then ahead again, stumbling over her own feet.

Aserl was focused on her satchel, making sure she had grabbed everything before leaving.

Violet's own makeshift backpack still hung from her shoulders as she attempted to steady her steps.

He took his sword out of his sheath and looked at it, frowning that he'd forgotten to get a new grip in town.

She winced a bit as her headache began to worsen. She lowered her ears slightly but did her best to ignore it.

She closed the satchel, letting it hang off to the side.

Audren glanced around, making sure the crow lady or any of her crows weren't tailing them.

She scratched her head a bit, glancing behind herself again.

Aserl thought for a moment, then looked at Audren and asked; "Who's this crow lady you were talking about?"

He shuddered when she mentioned the name of the odd woman that had sent her crows to attack him and Violet a few days ago. "I'd..uh..let Violet explain that.."

"Huh?" Violet looked to them with a confused expression after she had heard her name.

Audren pointed over his back with his thumb at Aserl. "She wants to know about the crow lady."

She nodded.

"Oh uh... she's got crows... and blue eyes... and sometimes she's a crow... with uh... blue eyes..."

Aserl raised an eyebrow, confsued.

"From the way Audren sounded it like she had more importance than that.."
