An Ignoble Tale (Act 1.1)

Violet looked to him, raising an eyebrow.

"Well, that's new."

"Huh?"

"..The tall grass."

She blinked, looking confused.

Audren shook his head.

She blinked.

He shrugged, continuing forward.

She started walking again as well.

"I must say I am slightly suspicious of this tall grass, though."

She looked back at him.

"What?"

"Uh, nothing," she said slowly, looking away.

Audren looked down at the ground as he walked.

She continued to walk.

They eventually came to a tree at the top of a hill.

She looked up at the leaves.

The tree was pretty much bare with the exception of a few leaves, as most of them had browned and fallen to the ground.

Her ears twitched in thought.

Audren laid his sheathe against the tree and looked around.

She fixed her hair a bit.

He looked down, once again, at his tattered trenchcoat.

"I still have no idea what i'm going to do about.. this."

She shrugged.

The sun was close to setting, but not there just yet.

She looked off at the setting sun for a moment before jumping up, grabbing a branch and hoisting herself up. She climbed about halfway up the tree before sitting on a comfortable branch.
