An Ignoble Tale (Act 1.1)

"So, do you know about the crow woman?" she asked Dracion, looking through Audren's thoughts about herself and this new adventure.

"I can't say I'm familiar with a "crow woman", why do you ask?"

He said.

She frowned a bit. "Rude," she mumbled, glancing down at Audren. Then she said in a normal tone, "Oh, I was thinking that was why you had come."

He chuckled a bit.

"Well, I mostly came here to check if you've made any sort of progress on his powers, memories, and like."

"He can make fire," she reported, "But he doesn't quite remember me. He thinks I'm crazy." She shrugged a bit. "If I poke around a bit, I might be able to find some hidden memories..." she said, somewhat to herself.

"Well, that's pretty good progress for a few days I suppose. Anyway, what happened with him?"

Dracion asked, looking at Audren.

"His powers got a bit out of hand," she said. "There were a lot of crows, the crow lady, they were attacking us. That's why we left."

"Ah, I see. Well I guess I'm going to have to do something about his pretty much destroyed appearance, though. I don't think running about like that for however long you'll be travelling is ideal."

He said, conjuring up a book and opening it.

She nodded, dropping Audren's hand.

"Let's see here, hmm.."

Dracion said as we has looking through the book.

Violet put her hand a few inches from Audren's head, testing her distance. She couldn't be more than two feet from him without being unable to hear or see his thoughts.

"Bah, I never was good at these sort of things. You pick something and I'll make it happen."

He gave the book to Violet.

She looked at the book, blinking. "Can't you just heal the burns and make him look like he did?"

"I was debating that. Fair enough."

Dracion snapped his fingers, making the book burst into flames in Violet's hands and vanish.

She watched the book disappear, then looked up at Dracion.

"Now, I haven't done this in a while so I'm not exactly confident, but oh well!"

He said, picking up Audren and leaning his unconscious body against the tree.

She lowered her ears slightly.

Dracion walked up to Audren, making a vial appear out of thin air. He then proceeded to open the cap, bending and manipulating the liquid in it with his hands.

Then proceeded to launch it at Audren.

"That should, take care of his burns."

She nodded a bit.

"Now as for his coat, I hope you know how to sew because there are no remedies I have for that."

"I do," she said.

"Ah, excellent."

He conjured up a sewing kit into Violet's hands.

She looked at it, her ears twitching. "Whoa..."

Dracion was facing the other direction, writing something in a journal.

She set the kit down, pulling out a needle and thread, then began to mend Audren's trench coat.
