An Ignoble Tale (Act 1.1)

He occasionally looked behind to check her progress, and then returned to writing in the journal.

She soon finished, replacing the needle and thread.

"Well, that was quick."

Dracion said, putting away his journal.

She looked to him.

"You can keep the kit if you want, I don't really need it. All matters seemed to have been resolved, is there anything else before I head off?"

She put the kit in her bag. "Other than Arcane and Crow Woman, not much that I can think of..."

"I'm not sure what Arcane has to do with the crow woman, though. Care to explain what she exactly said?"

"Oh, yeah." Violet nodded, and imitating the woman's jovial tone, quoted, ""If you don't let him take Audren to be removed from this plane of existence since he doesn't belong here, then he'll just have to take you both!" She was rather rude about the whole thing." Her ears twitched a bit.

"That's good to know, he has a mistress doing his messaging for him. All I can say on that matter is watch yourself and keep moving until you find somewhere you feel is suitable to stay. Meanwhile, I'll do what I can to dig up information on her. Did you happen to catch her name, or any details at all?"

"She had blue eyes and wore black... She never said her name."

"...Close enough. As I said before, I will try my hardest to find information out about her. Anyway, I must be off so my absence is not noticed. Any other requests before I go?"

She blinked, her hand going to her pocket. She pulled out the necklace, holding it out to Dracion.

He picked it up by the string, inspecting it.

"Where did you get this?"

"I found it on the ground when I first got here."

"And it already had this dried blood on it?"

He asked, poking the point of the necklace.

She nodded.

"I assume this is your blood, as well?'

She nodded again. She lifted her head, pointing to where the gash on her neck was.

He raised an eyebrow, and handed back to her.

"I can't really see much familiar about it, besides it having your blood on it and it being shaped like a "V"."

She took the necklace back and shrugged, putting it in her pocket again.

"Okay, anything else left?"

"Not at the moment," she said. She smiled faintly. "Thanks for everything."

Dracion nodded, then vanished.

She waved a bit as he disappeared, then lowered her hand, looking to Audren.

He was still leaning, unconscious against the tree.
