An Ignoble Tale (Act 1.1)

She frowned and pushed her hair from her face, then stuck her other hand in her pocket.

He looked up at the sun, noting it's still quite a few hours before noon.

She looked back down at her feet.

He sighed, once again looking down at the tall grass.

Her ears twitched a bit, then lowered.

He scratched his chin, looking around.

She sighed quietly.

Audren snapped his fingers, conjuring up another spark which started to gradually grow.

She looked up at the sky.

He stopped the flame's growing by pinching two fingers over it, putting it out. Though he did wince a little.

She frowned a bit.

He subtly stepped to the side away from Violet a bit more and continued walking.

She held her knife tightly, glancing back at him.

He briefly looked in her direction.

She twitched and turned away, and her ears perked up a bit.

A crow was perched in a tree ahead of them.

She stopped, looking up at it.

Audren's eyes widened, then he stepped back a bit.

She stared at the crow.

It paid no mind to them as it pecked at a berry growing on a branch beside it.

She looked to Audren.

He shook his head, still looking at the crow.

She looked back at the crow.

It made a "caw" sound and flew off.

She frowned as she watched it.
