An Ignoble Tale (Act 1.2)

He looked up.

Aserl was still asleep, unaware that her satchel had been moved away from her.

She smiled, content. She had put the satchel in a place where it was mostly hidden by leaves.

He shrugged, turning away and going back to leaning against the tree.

She looked to Aserl.

She was snoring softly, her hands behind her head.

He wasn't sure what just happened.

Violet looked to the sky.

The moon was about three quarters through it's rotation now, a few more hours before daylight though.

She sighed a bit, pretty bored now.

He considered rolling up his sleeves a bit as an extra precaution against his blood-soaked hands, even though it wouldn't do much to his black undershirt.

She got to her feet, brushing the dirt from her pants and the back of her shirt.

Aserl was stirring a bit.

She looked away.

He tapped his foot against the tree trunk, knocking some dirt off his boot.

She scratched her head, pacing a bit.

He looked up, satisfying his paranoia about crows and wondered when they were actually going to start traveling again.

She looked over to Audren.

He glanced over at Violet briefly and went back to tapping his fingers against the tree trunk.

She tilted her head.

"What?"

He said, still tapping his fingers.

"Nothing..."

He looked away, proceeding to cross his arms but stops due to his filthy hands, and then just leans against the tree.

She fixed her hair a bit.

He looked out into the forest, again, only to find leaves blowing across the ground.

Violet suddenly stopped, looking to Audren.

He was still looking away, distracted.
