An Ignoble Tale (Act 2.1)

Last time we met with our er, "heroes", Audren proceeded to piss off pretty much everyone (Aserl and Violet) after silencing their annoying chorus of counting and "do"s. After getting his ass handed to him by Violet he sort of just went off and.. did whatever Audren would do after having his pride wounded. Which is of course sitting under a tree, brooding, then falling asleep. Without saying much more we open up this act with a less noble pair of characters.



Axel woke up and flipped the black hood off his head. He frowned as his black hair was in his eyes, but brushed it away with a hand and looked to the side of him, glancing over at his accomplice.

Terra was sitting up and looking over at the window with diamond shaped walnut brown eyes. Her wavy black hair fell to the upper middle of her back, and her short bangs were swept to the left. Her nose was small and somewhat pointed and her skin was pale. She looked to Axel when she'd noticed he'd waken up.

It was just barely dawn and the sun was only starting to come up. Axel looked at her in the dark with his grey eyes, even though one of them was currently covered by his black, straight hair that went down to his shoulders. He sat up and briefly waved in her direction.

She waved back to him. Her fingernails were cut reasonably short. "Good morning," she said in a smooth, quiet tone.

"Morning." He said, pushing his hair out from in front of one of his eyes, again.

She lowered her hand. "Did you sleep all right?"

He nodded, then looked over at the extinguished lamp on the nightstand.

She yawned a bit and pushed her hair back.

He glanced back at her. "Why do you ask?"

"Hm?" She looked to him.

He blinked a few times. "Nevermind,"

"Uh, okay." She shrugged and got to her feet, stretching a bit.

He yawned and lazily rolled over to the end of the bed with the nightstand, feeling around for his boots on the floor with one hand.

Terra's nightgown was long, white and frilly. The sleeves ended at her elbows and lace went around the ends. She ran her fingers through her hair as she looked around, yawning again.

Axel's black robes were folded on the nightstand next to the lantern, though his hood was specially sewn into the black undershirt he wore under the robe.

That aside his hand eventually found his boots, so he slowly sat up and started to slip them on.

Terra's dress was hanging up on the wall. She looked outside and her ears twitched slightly as she thought to herself.

Axel tied the boots to his feet with ease, then went over to grab his robe off the nightstand.

She scratched her head and went over and took her her dress, quickly slipping out of her nightgown and into the dress. She tied the front laces and looked around for her shoes, which were beside the bed.

He stood up, grabbed the robe from the nightstand and slipped it around his arms. He adjusted the sleeves and made sure they weren't going to just droop off, then went to tying the strings around his neck.

She stepped into her shoes. Her shoes were blue with small heels and gold accent and gold lining.

He then tied the string around his waist securely and looked down at himself.

She brushed through her hair and once she was finished she looked to Axel.

He straightened the part of the robe covering his legs, and pat his hair down quickly.

She pushed her bangs to the side.

Axel stretched his arms and flexed his fingers, looking over at Terra.
