An Ignoble Tale (Act 2.1)

She looked to him and waved again.

He briefly smiled back at her.

Her expression could just barely be considered a smile, but it was one for her.

He took one last look at the window before opening the door and gesturing for Terra to go first.

"Thank you," she said as she walked out.

He walked out after her, closing the door behind him.

She looked around and fixed her sleeves slightly.

There were other doors with numbers on them in the hallway they were presently in, with a staircase leading down towards the first floor of the Inn.

She looked to Axel, then the stairs, and began to walk.

He followed after her down the stairs.

She walked down to the main area of the inn, looking over to the counter.

The innkeeper was busy wiping the counter off when he saw Terra come down along with Axel shortly after.

Terra waved a bit at him.

He glanced up at her then went back to his work.

Axel looked around the place and noticed that the chairs were on top of the tables and the lamps that hung around the place were unlit.

She looked to Axel.

He got a few coins out of his pocket and laid them on the counter that the Innkeeper was busy cleaning.

She pushed her hair back and looked to the window.

It was a bit lighter outside by now, but not quite day.

The Innkeeper looked at the coins then at Axel. "Appreciate it," He said, grabbing them and putting them into his pocket.

She started walking to the door.

Axel followed Terra over to the door.

She walked out, looking back at Axel.

He said nothing, opened the door, and walked outside.

She pushed her bangs out of the way and she squinted slightly as she looked about.

He put a hand over his eyes for a moment and looked around so he could adjust to the sunlight, since it was pretty much day by now.

"Hm... Which way do we go now?"
