An Ignoble Tale (Act 1.2)

He couldn't take it anymore, he slowed down and waited for them to catch up. Then, even though he was probably going to regret this, turned around and smacked their heads together.

Audren really hoped he didn't just make a stupid mistake.

Violet's "doo's" stopped immediately and she let out a yelp of pain and pointed her hand at Audren, throwing him hard to the ground with her telekinesis.

Aserl winced and dropped her coins, but quickly composed herself, took the dagger out of her satchel and slowly walked over to where Audren was now on the ground.

Violet rubbed her head, her ears down drawn back. "Fucking hell..."

He felt the breath get knocked out of him, and the sheath with the sword on his back didn't help. "Guys, what the hel..heck?! Was this really necessary? I was just trying to walk in peace for once!"

Aserl simply leaned over him and waved briefly with the dagger behind her back.

"Well that was shitty of you," Violet grumbled.

He rolled off his back even though it now hurt like hell, got up and started walking without a word or second thought.

Aserl went over to grab her coins which had fallen onto the ground, and put away the dagger. "Told you he was pissed off for a reason,"

She looked over at Audren, then to Aserl.

She shrugged, putting the coins into her satchel and closing it.

She sighed a bit and stuck her hands in her pockets.

Aserl didn't exactly know what was with Audren, one moment he seemed.. fine enough, then all of a sudden he's just this moody mess who just goes silent and keeps to himself. Ah well, it didn't really concern her anyway and she'd have to be on her way soon enough.

Violet didn't really care; she just regarded him as a dick right now.

"Oh screw it..I'll just attempt to sort this out in the morning or something..as always.."

Audren sighed, walking off the road and leaning against a tree, facing away from his acquaintances.

"Why are we here anyway?..." Violet asked Aserl.

She shrugged. "I dunno, we never really had a plan in the first place but I guess on the loose chance that we can find answers or so Audren can buy gloves for his hands or something..?"

"Oh." She looked around. "Well uh I'm just going to stay out here and shit."

"I think I'll join you, Audren seems like he can handle himself." She said, smiling.

"Okay," she said, her ears wiggling very slightly.

Audren had soon slumped over and fell asleep, leaning against the tree.

"Anyways.. should we bother to catch up with him or what?'

She glanced over. "I think he's all right."

"So what now, then?" She asked, looking around.

She shrugged a bit, looking around.

She crossed her arms and tapped her foot, thinking.

She sighed and sat herself down, patting her knees.

Aserl took out the dagger, and busied herself with inspecting it's..rather ornate design.
