An Ignoble Tale (Act 1.2)

She listened to his explanation, and once he was finished she let go of his collar, then backhanded him in the face. "You still deserve that..."

He put a hand on his cheek where she'd slapped him, wincing.

Aserl raised an eyebrow, looking at the two.

Violet stuck her hands back in her pockets, stumbling to the side a bit.

"Well this is awkward.." Audren said, looking at both of them.

Aserl rolled her eyes, looking away from them.

Violet glared at him, trying her best not to hit him again.

He put a hand behind his head. "I'll uh.. I'll make it up to you, somehow." He said, looking over at Violet.

Aserl sighed. "Anyway, I suppose we should regroup elsewhere, and not make a scene in front of the shop." She said, pointing out the people in the Tailor's looking out the window at them.

"Whatever..." Violet muttered, then nodded a bit at Aserl's comment.

"Oh, right," She held out her hand to Violet. "apologies for not introducing myself, I'm Aserl."

Audren slapped his face, walking off.

Violet quickly shook her hand with a small nod, then stuck her hand back in her pocket. "I'm Violet."

"So, I assume you're with him?" She asked, pointing a thumb over her shoulder at Audren while he walked off.

"I... think..." she said, glancing over at Audren, then back to Aserl.

"I see, well, Audren's certainly an interesting one." She said.

He stopped, waving for them to come along.

Violet looked over to Audren and started walking to him.

Aserl shrugged, following after.

She stood beside Audren, looking to Aserl.

He tapped his fingers on a lamp post, thinking.

Aserl stood beside them. "So.. what now?"

"I dunno..."

He was still tapping his fingers on the lamp post, looking away from them.

"If you don't mind me asking, what brings you here? Besides to get him back, of course." She said, pointing to Audren briefly.

"I thought he poisoned me..."

"Well, just for the record, alcohol does funny things to people when you drink too much." Aserl said, looking at Violet.

"Well I didn't know..." Violet said with a sigh.

"At least you know, yeah?" She said, glancing over at Audren who was still in his brooding-thinking phase.

"Yeah...."

Asrel tapped her foot, looking around.

Audren put his head against a wall, closing his eyes.

"Uhhh..."
