An Ignoble Tale (Act 1.2)

She looked down at the various dirt and grass stains on Violet's clothes, thinking. "Would you possibly like to get a new outfit? I can possibly pull some strings at the tailor's if you're interested. I doubt we'll be doing much for a while since Audren here's busy thinking.."

Audren opened his eyes, head still against the wall. "Go on ahead, I have some business to deal with. As in, figuring out what is even going on anymore."

"Uh... I guess..."

"Lovely!" She said, grabbing Violet's hand and dragging her into the tailor's.

"Uhh..." Violet stumbled along with her.

"Make a selection and I'll see what I can do for you." She said, letting her go and starting to look through some racks.

"Okay..." Violet looked around at the racks, tilting her head a bit.

Aserl glanced out the window at Audren, who was still doing his thing with his head against a wall.

Violet grabbed a beige coloured button up shirt. "Uh... yeah..."

Aserl looked back over at Violet, putting a hand to her chin. "I'd say purple was more of your kinda color but whatever works, I guess."

She grabbed the shirt from Violet and walked over to Madame Frelle whom was conversing with someone who was working at one of the sewing machines.

Violet stuck her hands back in her pockets as the shirt was taken from her, looking around the shop.

Meanwhile, Audren was deep in thought about his memories and other things of that manner.

Aserl on the other hand told Madame Frelle about Violet's er, intoxication, and she took sympathy and let her have the garment for free, but only the one.

Violet waited for Aserl, standing awkwardly off to the side.

She handed Violet the beige shirt, starting out the door and toward Audren.

He sighed, lifting his head up and looking around.

Violet looked down at the shirt, then to Madame Frelle. "Is there a... uh..." She trailed off a bit, then found her train of thought again. "Is there a place I could change?..."

"Yes, of course." The Madame said, handing Violet a key and then pointing to a room in the back.

Violet took the key and thanked her before heading to the back changing room.

Audren looked over at Aserl, "Where's Violet?"

She smiled. "I convinced Madame Frelle to give her a new shirt since her old one was dirty, she'll be out shortly."

He looked at her, a bit surprised. "Oh."

Violet changed into her new shirt, then walked out, handing the key back to Madame Frelle.

Audren looked over at her, his eyes widening a bit, then turned away.

Aserl gave a thumbs up, looking at Violet.

She walked over to them. "Hh..hey..."

"Much better, well, less filthy at least." She said, briefly glancing at Audren, confused.

He was embarrassed, in a way, and also mad at himself for being like this.

She stumbled slightly before steadying herself again, looking down at the shirt. "It's... okay... I guess..."

Aserl looked back at Violet. "Um, just how much did you drink anyway and how long have you been drunk?"

"Uh... a bottle... of rum..." she said. "I don't... know... how long ago..."

Aserl frowned. "Ah, I can see why you're stumbling around a lot then.."

She glanced back at Audren, who was still being well.. being Audren.
