An Ignoble Tale (Act 1.2)

"Fair enough," She said, debating whether to add a remark about her siding with Audren to stir up jealousy but decided against it.

She turned away and smiled slyly at the thought, though.

She looked down the road again, then to the two of them.

Audren opened his eyes, went over to grab his blood-stained sword off the ground, sheathed it, and put it on his back.

"Completely ignoring what just happened, let's make a move on to the next town, shall we?"

Aserl shrugged, closing her satchel.

"How far even is it?" Violet asked, suddenly sounding exhausted from all this stupid walking.

"Well maybe if I had wings, or something. I would gladly tell you, but only to go back and wait on you both."

He said in a sarcastic tone, sounding frustrated.

Aserl chuckled.

"Looks like someone made an ass of himself in front of someone."

Violet looked between the two of them, her ears twitching in thought as she seemed to come to a conclusion in her head and her ears perked up.

Audren blushed, suddenly putting some stride into his step.

"Alllright shouldn't we get going? It's dark and the more ground we cover the better." He pointed with his thumb.

Aserl crossed her arms and gestured over to Violet, smiling.

"Ahem,"

"...Don't you want to be walking closer to him?" Violet asked, tilting her head at Aserl.

She holds her hands up.

"Nonono, I was about to ask you the same in fact."

"Oh, no," she said, shaking her head. "I assumed it was just a human thing."

Audren looked over at them, and had pretty much tuned out their conversation with his own train of thought. "Aserl what are you doing please stop trying to start crap about matters that are not relevant at this current time."

"If you'd like him for the time being that's fine," Violet insisted. For her at least it was custom and cordial to offer such things.

Aserl started to laugh.

"Alright, whatever you say then,"

Her ears twitched a bit, looking at her and tilting her head.

She shrugged, smiling.

Audren tapped his foot.

"Shouldn't we be going..?"

She looked over to Audren. "I believe so," she said, looking to Aserl again.

Aserl's smile faded and she nodded, following after them.

Violet continued to walk again, sticking her hands in her pockets.

He looked down as he walked, already putting into thought as to what they were gonna do now.

Aserl sighed, since her attempts at causing commotion turned out to be a failure. Though she did have something a bit.. heinous in mind but that was for another time..

She yawned a bit and looked around, bored as all hell.

Audren suddenly had a lingering paranoia that his well being was going to be endangered in the near future.

Violet was gonna die they've been walking for like 80 years.

He looked up, noting the moon was obscured by clouds and a light was up ahead.

"Huh, looks like we found the next town."

"Fuck yes."

Aserl yawned.

"So we'll be able to stop walking for the night, then?"

He turned around and briefly nodded.
